Future of Web Apps

I could be right out to lunch here, but I think that macromedia is going to win. It's the browser compatablity issue that is going to kill web app programmers, always has. You would have to be a retard to make css and xhtml compatible with all the friggin browsers out there. The only company really doing it is google. But google is a fortress of secrecy and simpletons like myself will never learn the tricks of the googods.

Macromedia works on all browsers. Design your app once. Winner. I know we all love free programming enviroments, but sometimes you gotta pay. You bought microsoft windows right? Even if you didn't want to, you can't use a rag-tag OS, you can't use a rag-tag web app programming enviroment.

Just my two-cents, I love CSS, but I only want to program for one browser and that is not happening.

Good Experience - Interview: Marissa Mayer, Google.com

Good Experience - Interview: Marissa Mayer, Google.com: "All of us on the UI team think the value of Google is in not being cluttered, in offering a great user experience. I like to say that Google should be 'what you want, when you want it.' As opposed to 'everything you could ever want, even when you don't.' "
